登革熱疫情歷史：
2012年5月23日，經臺當局衛生部門通知證實，高雄市入夏后*本土型登革熱病例在楠梓區翠屏里現蹤，患者是小學六年級男童。
2012年9月12日，據當地媒體報道，菲律賓當年的登革熱感染者已達9.5萬余人，其中549人死亡，這兩項統計均高于2011年同期。柬埔寨共報告登革熱30760例、死亡124人（均為兒童），病例數、死亡數分別較2011年同期上升178%、158%。截至9月14日，馬來西亞共報告登革熱15268例、死亡27人。

2013年6月21日，泰國公共衛生部通報，2013年以來泰國已經有4.9萬人感染登革熱，59人死亡，死者中半數為兒童。
